What is there to say about me? I have been sculpting since April first 2006. Three years ago I retired from a corporate job I held for 20 years. Due to a car accident I was left physically and emotionally crippled. Therefore leaving the MetroPlex of Dallas Fort Worth to live in seclusion outside a small rural town in deep southern Texas. Most days for three years have been spent laying in bed and watching the abundant wildlife outside my window. But the in the month of March I forced myself to the computer and found a site by accident called "Boyz From The Wood". Something triggered immediately in my brain and went on to read about the Artist "The Widow Bryant ". From there on I began to spend more time out of bed than in and started sculpting immediately. I have her to thank for giving me back a life. In her honer I did "The wasting" which is in my gallery. Now I spend hours in the deep pastures and backwoods of this hot humid wonderful place, looking and finding inspiration and embellishments to be added to my work. I now am filled with ideas and creative energy. Life is again once something to be considered precious. What my Goal is in my work. Well in the beginning it was (and will always be) to learn the basics. Then to be able to create sculptures that have the ability to relate and bring forth emotion. Sometimes just plainol Whimsy. My life now continues where not long ago I truly thought it was ending. Toadie
