Creations of Mysticism Artisan Kassity Allison creates pieces of astounding realism. Kassity is one of the most interesting and exciting new sculpture doll artists because of astounding realism in her sculpted art dolls and the her scope of talent. She does the finest realistic museum-quality male sculptured dolls, she can equally create women, children and fantasy of all kinds. Her rendition of Wisakecah the mud fairy is a masterpiece of realism and fantasy, shows her facility for doing different types of art even though she is known for her dragons figures. Her talents include, paintings, wood sculpture, glass works, soap stone carvings, and most recently Artist Bears Dolls. This art is very unique in the fact that the possibilities are endless. In the short time she has been working in this field. Kassity has had her artist bear dolls published in teddy bear magazines and had two of my artist bear dolls nominated and won third in the TED Worldwide in Germany. When asked about her Artist Bear Dolls Kassity has this to say. “ My Artist Bear Dolls I would have to say I am more an anthropomorphic mystical bear. All my designs and the patterns are hand drawn by me and are sculptured from mohair and other fabric materials as well as polymer clay. I have three series at this time, one I call the "Talking Bears" and then there is "Walking Bears" and finally the Faunus series. The talking bears have pose-able mouths. It is a technique I worked on so the mouths may be posed open or closed without having to use a mechanism. The walking bears are a clan series of bears and they will have a continuing story with each bear. I hope to publish a book on this series of bears. I have two such bears , Zandermis and Naytura Whispering Wind Woman. The special feature to these bears is; they are made to look like; in the sense that they are walking. My Artist Bear Dolls have been called “mystical looking”, “Out of this world creative and whimsical”, “so "Chronicles of Narnia”. I will continue to work in this field and promote my artist bear dolls along with my figurative art dolls. Kassity has been an artist for over 30 years, she started making figurative art dolls about six or so months ago after seeing one in a doll magazine. In that short time she has developed her own technique and style to create her exquisite art dolls. When you see a Kassity figurative art doll you will be amazing at the beauty and personality reflecting through each art doll she creates. Her museum-level Wisakecah the mud fairy, sculpture and China doll are in a class all by themselves.
